2011 What I’ve learned this year and hope to remember in 2012
Seek God every day and be thankful for his grace and mercy.
Be kind. You don’t know what hardships others are experiencing and you may be the one smile they see today.
Love yourself. You cannot control what others think about you.
Learn to live each day in the here and now with an attitude of anticipation and joy.
Do something every day to protect and maintain your health. Exercise, eat fruit, skip fatty snacks, park farther away and walk more, stress less, drink less, quit smoking, take your meds daily and appreciate your body. It’s the only one you get.
Don’t miss an opportunity to tell and show your family you love them.
Let yes mean YES and no mean NO. Others will appreciate your honesty.
Remember your priorities. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Sew something every day and remember, there are no quilt emergencies.
Girlfriends are priceless. Take time to cultivate those bonds.
Laugh often; Listen more; and Speak less. Don’t gossip, period.
I am a Pastor's wife of 38 years; mother of two grown and married children, quilting for over 40 years, Longarm quilter for 14 years, domestic sewing machine collector (don't ask me how many sewing machines I have!) I love woodworking (building cabinets and bookcases), I like to read mysteries and watch "chick" flicks. I love all types of music except Blue Grass, but my favorites are Contemporary Christian and oldies-Rock'n Roll.
